Muhammad 'Izzul 'Ammar Abd Latif
Muhammad 'Izzul 'Ammar Abd Latif is the Managing Partner of Messrs Niq Ammar Soffian and heads the firm's Corporate & Commercial Department. He is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with extensive experience in corporate advisory, commercial transactions and land acquisition matters.
He graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) with First Class Honours and was consistently placed on the Dean's List throughout his studies.
Prior to establishing his practice, 'Izzul 'Ammar served as Assistant Director (Legal) at the Malaysian Highway Authority where he was involved in drafting, reviewing and negotiating concession agreements, joint venture agreements, construction contracts and regulatory instruments, as well as advising on highway administration, infrastructure projects and land acquisition matters.
Earlier in his career, he trained with Messrs Azmi & Associates where he was involved in corporate and commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, due diligence exercises, investment documentation, shareholders' agreements and commercial contracts.

Mohammad Soffian Mohd Azmir
Mohammad Soffian Mohd Azmir brings substantial expertise in general litigation and dispute resolution, with a strong focus on corporate, contractual, and commercial disputes. He is particularly experienced in handling complex and contentious matters, adopting a strategic and solution-oriented approach supported by his exposure to arbitration and forensic investigation.
As the Head of the Litigation Department, Soffian plays a central role in formulating litigation strategies, managing high-stakes disputes, and overseeing the firm's overall dispute resolution portfolio. He is actively involved in both civil and criminal matters, regularly representing clients in a wide range of criminal cases with an emphasis on strategic defence and procedural precision.
A key area of his practice is employment law, where he regularly advises and represents both employers and employees in disputes involving wrongful dismissal, breach of employment contracts, disciplinary proceedings, and industrial relations matters. His practice further extends to defamation, administrative law, family law, and insolvency, enabling him to provide comprehensive legal solutions to a broad spectrum of clients.
Soffian holds an LL.B from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and has a unique background in aviation, having undergone training in a Flying School Pilot programme. This distinct combination allows him to approach industry-specific disputes with added technical insight and commercial awareness.

Muhammad Aniq Mohamad Tauhid
Muhammad Aniq Mohamad Tauhid is a legal practitioner with a strong foundation in conveyancing and corporate law. He graduated with an LL.B from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and was subsequently called to the Malaysian Bar in December 2023.
He commenced his legal career by completing his pupillage at Messrs Syed Amir Naqib & Co, where he developed substantial experience in conveyancing, particularly in handling developer's projects. During this period, he was extensively involved in drafting and reviewing sale and purchase agreements, and overseeing the end-to-end processes of property transactions. Following his pupillage, he continued to build on this expertise as a paralegal at Messrs Asiah & Hisam, where he was actively involved in both developer-driven transactions and subsale property matters, further strengthening his technical and practical knowledge in real estate practice.
He later joined an IT company based in Shah Alam as a Legal Officer, where he expanded his practice into corporate and IT law. In this role, he advised on a range of commercial and regulatory matters, including contract management, compliance, and corporate governance, providing him with valuable in-house perspective and commercial awareness in dealing with business operations.
In August 2024, he joined Niq Ammar Soffian, where he currently leads the Conveyancing Department. In this capacity, he oversees and manages a broad spectrum of property transactions, including developer projects, subsale transactions, and advisory work relating to property and land matters.
In addition to his conveyancing practice, he is actively involved in litigation matters, including debt recovery proceedings, eviction actions, land acquisition cases, as well as probate and estate administration matters.
His combined exposure to both non-contentious and contentious work allows him to provide practical, well-rounded legal solutions tailored to clients' needs.

Ahmad Al-Abid Murad
Ahmad Al-Abid Murad is an Associate at Niq Ammar Soffian and is part of the firm's litigation and advisory team. He graduated with an LL.B. (Hons) and LL.B. (S) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2023.
Al-Abid assists partners of the firm in a variety of civil and commercial matters, including litigation proceedings, legal research, drafting pleadings, and preparing case strategies. His work frequently involves assisting in complex dispute resolution cases involving contractual disputes, property claims, and corporate litigation.
Despite being in the early stages of his legal career, Al-Abid has demonstrated strong analytical skills and dedication to providing high-quality legal support to clients. He is actively involved in preparing legal submissions, conducting legal research, and assisting counsel during court proceedings.
Al-Abid also assists in advising clients on legal documentation, contract drafting, and compliance matters. His ability to work closely with senior lawyers allows him to contribute meaningfully to complex legal matters while continuing to develop his expertise.
He regularly appears before the Magistrates' and Sessions Courts and continues to build his experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
